Following the advice of a friendly demon, you must use cards to protect yourself during battles against various monsters. Yet, a feeling rages in the back of your mind that what you are doing is very wrong.

This game was made solo in 6 days for 1-Bit Jam 13 with the theme of "There is no end...?"! Hope you enjoy! (Please read the note below as well)

INFO:

Max Health is 20, and max Mana is 8.

Each card costs a certain amount of mana, which can be seen on the card. You can use as many cards in 1 turn as you'd like, just as long as you have enough mana.

You regain 3 Mana every turn.

Space to move forward in any speech, unless otherwise stated.

NOTE:

After beating the game (or losing the game and running out of health), there is a bug that I couldn't figure out how to fix which makes cards from old runs reappear and overlap with the ones you are yet to receive. If you plan on playing through more than once or trying again after losing, PLEASE RELOAD THE PAGE (especially if you want to beat the secret ending!!) This will, however, make you go through the tutorial again. Apologies in advance for the inconvenience.

SPOILER!!!!

As I said, there is a secret ending! Here's a hint on how to find it for those who want to try it out: There's nothing stopping you from pressing the End Turn button over and over (say, maybe 5 times) instead of fighting (after the tutorial). You still have to play through the tutorial.

LOVE the music! super fun gameplay, reminds me a bit of undertale

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I took inspiration from Undertale's art style when designing the game, so it's cool that you were able to pick up on it in the final product

Very neat concept and presentation. Card games like this can be dangerously addicting. Also I'll try to be the man Chad Dog believed I could be.

Once I realized that nothing would stop me from doing [SPOILER] (confirmed by the info you shared) I tried to do it but I don't understand if I'm doing it wrong (like there's a specific moment I have to do it) or if it is working as intended (still, the idea is pretty fun).

Great work.

Hey! Thanks for playing! Did you try it after the tutorial? You still have to play through the entire tutorial. Then, after the opening scene, try it and it should work (based on what I just tested). Thanks again for playing!
